Controversy Yasmin Ahmad Tuesday, 16 August 2005

Patutlah selalu kalah, jaguh kampung katakan!

Gol And Gincu Review Monday, 15 August 2005

I just watched Gol and Gincu last Friday at Mid Valley around 2.20pm. I know I ponteng kerja but shhhhh!!. Kantoi, Hehehe. And the movie is not bad, you know for a Malaysian movie. Jeffooi’s partial review intrigues me after reading his recommendation on his blog.

Things that I learn from that movie:
1) Don’t underestimate the power of a girly girl. A shy girl causes more emotional damage than a brutal girl does.
2) Never ever date a cute guy cause they will dump you at the end. Like Ashraf said: “Lepas 10 tahun nanti, I dah boring dengan you, u nak I kahwin satu lagi macam bapak I”.
3) I had enough of coke, adidas and hotlink.
4) Rafidah can write cool screenplay.
5) Maureen’s boobs are so damn hugeeeeee…
6) Finally, Jeffooi makes me ponteng kerja. Damn.

That’s all folks, I’m waiting for Gubra to make its appearance in our local cinema. Can Ungu Violet compete with our local films? I don’t know maybe can kot. But I’m sure that I’ll buy Raja Azmi’s anak-anak sidek bullshit and trash it on my blog. So wait ya… I’m gonna make another review soon.

Check her out man. http://www.laineylashes.com/ I mean gosh. I really wish that my friends can be so fucking cool. I remember the last time we used to hang out together was in Pulau Manukan (Off KK). Itu pun takat barbecue and makan-makan. No sex, alcohol and drugs. My life sucks. My manukan entry is being shut down for a while. Will be upload in next few days.

Real party with loads of alcohol. Damn.

I wish my future hangout session is full with chicks. Hehehehe.

I wish my boring friends are this sporting and fun. Ok maybe they’re fun but not that crazy. I want fun and outrageously crazy.

Whaoooo… This i like this one very much. To all my blardy friends. Dare you take the challenge?

Stan5088 wish to extend his sincere thanks to lainey @ http://www.laineylashes.com/ for allowing me to reproduce and republish her photos in this entry.

Part Time Server At Channel Dance Club Friday, 5 August 2005

Part Time Server at Channel Dance Club
I started to work as server in a club call Channel Dance Club formerly known as Warp Disco. Within 2 months, I get bored and resigned unofficially from that fuckup club. No reasons given, I just left like that and not answering phone.

Environment
There is no cover charge to enter the club but you can purchase your drinks at the entrance if you choose not to order from the server (waiter eventually been replaced with server and it is not like the computer server though). The price of the drinks varies from RM 13++ for a mug of beer till RM 390++ for a bottle of 70cl liquor) Tiger is the main supplier together with Heineken, Kampai, Tsing Tao and Guinness Stout. While liquor such as Hennessey and Chivas serves those rich and regular customer who wanted to look cool and to flash their wealth.

The club employs GRO or fondly being call-‘clubbing girl’ (both mean the same thing). Their job is to take orders as often as possible and pass their order to server. In return, they will earn commission on sales that they generate. Each girl has her own number and the servers will note on the bill. Some of the girls will ask her other fellow clubbing girl to join in to drink. Most customers find that rather annoying, as they will ask them to buy more drinks once the drinks finish.

Salary for part timers is RM 5 per hour and working hours usually from 10pm till 3am. They server keeps the tips according to the management policies, but I find that had not benefited to the part timers as we have to compete with permanent staff for the tips. Customers had the tendency to call permanent full timers, as they are more familiar with them.

Ordering drinks using cards called “Micros” system is good that it disable all staff to cheat/hanky panky or in hokkien ‘cho kha chiu’. This “micros” system is creatively invented in such that no one had the chance to perform any hanky-panky stuff. The following will reveal how “micros” works.
1. Take order from customer
2. Swipe Micros at machine, key in drinks (1 Jug Tiger), press print check, 2 check printed
3. Take the checks (not a receipt) to the bar to take your Jug Beer. Give one of the check to bar tender.
4. Drinks (jug) to the customer, flash the other check to customer for payment.
5. Take money and check to cashier, Cashier will give you the balance (if any) together with receipt.
6. Balance of money and receipt back to the customer

Music
Canto pop, heavy techno with trip-hop as break is the sound coming out from 1000-watt loudspeaker. The club uses a pair of CDJ1000 Cd player and DJM600 Mixer. Equipments are from Pioneer. They are four Djs in the house. Three Chinese and one Indian, all sucks. Do not expect R&B, hip-hop and top 40 in this club but for ‘feng tau’ kakis, this is the place to be seen. Popular music – Groove Coverage.

Staff
Our clubbing employment staff are mostly pengkid a.k.a tomboy and ah kua a.k.a transvestite. I shit you not. At my work place, I think at least 50% of the full time staff consists of pengkid (people with no breast) and there is one part time staff whose real name is Richard but act like a girl (chick with dick).

I mean, man! I got nothing against them but what the fuck is happening in this world. I’ve seen older man with young lady, older women going clubbing like mad, “feng tau” kids doing their shit in front of a 1000watt 1m diameter loudspeaker, people puking all over the place but these pengkid and ah kua are the saddest of all.

Patronage/ Customers
Older generation dominated the club dance floor! That should be the tagline for the club, as apeks a.k.a Ah Beng and young Chinese kids with stylomilo punk’d and pink hairstyle taking over the dance floor. The club is frequented by those 40 and above with a small population of kiddo who I think has not complete secondary school yet.

Negative Side
Last Saturday not so long ago, Bukit Aman’s Narcotic Police team raided Channel Dance Club and at least 50 people were in the club still partying hard. When people started rushing out from the club we knew this time, it was not a hoax played by some dude. 24 police officers and 3 dogs were seen guarding the entrance and the exit. The staff luckily enough as the police officers make dunno to the staff. Me and other part-timer were ask to leave the workplace by a senior and we just blah from the scene as the police were busy conducting urine test. I’m not sure how many people were send to the station.

Then on my way back, I stop by a burger stall somewhere near Backroom, located at the end of Jalan Raja Laut. 1 prado, 2 land cruiser, an ambulance and 1 Black Maria suddenly stop by the roadside and RELA member were seen rushing into the club. Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara’s staff also seen at the site, I think last Saturday was a RAID day.

Not so long ago, I remember watching Malaysia Top Host on Tv3 where the contestants in that show participate in an assignment ala 999. 2 of them followed KL police contingent and they raided the club. Luckily, I was not there when all that happens. The moral is; don’t work in places prone to drugs and police raid. I strongly advice all.

Makna tersembunyi: Tolong picit kepala.

Makna tersembunyi: I tak nak kat you. Tak paham-paham ke?

7. Kalau perempuan kata: I suka berkawan dengan you. You baik, memahami bla bla bla…
Makna tersembunyi: Hish… I rasa macam minat sesangat kat you. Rasa macam nak jadi awek you je…

8. Kalau perempuan tanya: You pernah tak teringatkan awek you yang dulu?
Makna tersembunyi: Kalau nak gaduh, kalau berani sangat, sebut la nama dia depan aku.

9. Kalau perempuan kata: I sanggup berkorban demi kebahagiaan you.
Makna tersembunyi: Amboi! Aku kena berkorban. Habih, hangpa dua ekoq gak yang seronok.

10. Kalau perempuan kata: I tak kisah kalau memang betul you nak kahwin lagi satu. Asalkan you berterus-terang dengan I, bersikap jujur dan berlaku adil.
Makna tersembunyi: Sapa kata aku tak kisah? Adil ke tak adil, aku tak kira! Langkah mayat aku dulu sebelum nak menikah lagi satu.

Sepet: Filem terbaik 2005?? Wednesday, 3 August 2005

Saya tak tahu apa kena dengan Raja Azmi tu. Statement yang dia buat tu ntah apa-apa. But I really really pity Yasmin for what she had not done. She should have hit back at that stupid penolong setiausaha PFM for making a remarkable stupid statement.

Some of my friends might not appreciate Sepet but that is the most fascinating malay film I ever seen.

goh kiet rhee : Raja Azmi memang tak sedar diri.
